Clean Energy Week: Policy and Finance Conference 2014

In July Sarah Miller, the chief operating officer of ASTRI, attended Clean Energy Week: Policy and Finance Conference 2014.  This was particularly relevant for ASTRI because an important target in ASTRI is to reduce the levelised cost of electricity from CST power stations.  Sarah was particularly interested in talks about dispatchable power and remote power – both of which are areas CST can plan an important role.  James Harding, Head of Business Development, Abengoa Solar gave a presentation on the 20MW Perenjori Dispatchable Solar Thermal Project for the fringe grid on the South West Interconnected System (SWIS) in Western Australia.  It’s title is “Dispatchable Solar Power: A Case Study” and slides from his present can be found here.
